Basketball Recap: Bradley Holcy's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Palatka over Orange Park

Palatka was the 64-62 winner over Orange Park when they last played one another back in January of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Palatka Panthers took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orange Park Raiders on Friday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Palatka's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bradley Holcy, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Justin Fells, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Palatka now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Orange Park, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Palatka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-36 loss against Matanzas on the 9th. As for Orange Park, they will venture away from home to face off against Westside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orange Park is facing Westside at the right time seeing as Westside is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
