Recap: Lincoln Southeast Knights vs. Creighton Prep Junior Jays
If the Lincoln Southeast Knights were feeling good off their 73-27 takedown of the Bellevue East Chieftains last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lincoln Southeast took a 65-50 bruising from Creighton Prep on Saturday. Lincoln Southeast was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Creighton Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
Lincoln Southeast's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taye Moore, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Ngoyi, who scored 13 points.
Creighton Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dillon Claussen out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Claussen's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Torran Carter-brown, who scored 12 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Lincoln Southeast now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Creighton Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Lincoln Southeast will head out on the road to face off against Grand Island at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Creighton Prep will be home for the holidays to greet Gretna East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
