Mid-Lakes recap September 17, 2013

Dalton Taylor and Dallas Hester provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Marionville. The connection was good for 60 yards, the longest such play in Mid-Lakes this season.

Fair Grove was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Eagles defeated Pleasant Hope 9-6.

Strafford's dynamic duo of Jacob Wade and Hester proved to be unstoppable against the Comets, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wade threw for 149 yards and Hester had 100 yards receiving. Brady Wilson helped Strafford's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 50 yards.

The Indians' dynamic duo of Wade and Hester proved tough for Marionville to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Hester was the best wideout in the league this week as Strafford beat Jamie LaSalle's team.

Logan Allred was the most successful running back in Mid-Lakes this week. He ran for 256 yards on 29 carries as Ash Grove topped the Comets. Teammate Spencer Rasmussen added to the ground attack by rushing for 69 yards.

Corey Kesterson made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Indians bested Marionville. The 6-foot-1 defensive lineman.

Wade put up the best numbers in passing as Strafford beat the Comets.

Allred was a force in the backfield as the Pirates bested Diamond.

The Indians' Wade and Hester have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Wade has thrown for 687 yards this season, while Hester has 20 catches for 285 yards. Ash Grove's Allred leads the league in rushing yards with 537.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Marionville takes on Doug Martin's team. The Comets are currently in fourth, while the Pirates are in third.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Marionville takes on Ash Grove. The Comets have allowed 43 points this season, while the Pirates have given up 31.

Ash Grove took down the Wildcats 43-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Allred caught 2 passes for 41 yards in the win.
