Baseball Recap: Galt Comes Up Short

Galt came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the El Dorado Cougars, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost five in a row.

Galt's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for El Dorado, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Galt will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Union Mine at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for El Dorado, they will take on Rio Americano at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
