Football Recap: Duxbury Starts Season with Win Against Abington

Duxbury had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 52-44 win over the Abington Green Wave. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Dragons' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Green Wave are ranked 75th).

Coming up, Duxbury will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Scituate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Abington, they will take on Apponequet Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
