Fort Defiance had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Riverheads Gladiators 4-2. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by exactly two runs.

Fort Defiance's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Riverheads, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Defiance will head out to take on Waynesboro at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Riverheads, they will venture away from home to face off against Staunton at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Storm have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.67 runs per game on average), something the Gladiators will no doubt try to take advantage of.
