Volleyball Recap: Mill Creek Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mill Creek entered their tilt with Central Gwinnett on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Black Knights 3-0. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Black Knights, too.

While Mill Creek won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-15, 25-23.

Samus Hart paced Mill Creek's offense, picking up ten kills. Hart got some help from Sara Rogers and her 21 assists. Rogers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Mill Creek's victory bumped their record up to 19-15. As for Central Gwinnett, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-18.

Mill Creek will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Black Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
