Basketball Game Preview: Wilcox County Patriots vs. Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane

Having just played yesterday, the Wilcox County Patriots will jump right back in to play the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Wilcox County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Wilcox County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Irwin County.

Meanwhile, Fitzgerald hadn't done well against Dodge County recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Fitzgerald walked away with a 63-55 win over Dodge County. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Purple Hurricane.

Wilcox County's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Fitzgerald, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Wilcox County was dealt a bruising 70-37 loss at the hands of Fitzgerald in their previous matchup last Tuesday. Can Wilcox County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
