Basketball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 54-31 to the Malcolm Clippers. The Broncos were probably out for revenge after losing 59-37 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Malcolm found their leader in freshman Payton Dolliver, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 18 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dolliver has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Baylor Bratrsovsky, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Malcolm, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Centennial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-39 defeat against Northwest on the 28th. As for Malcolm, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 62-56 loss against Oakland-Craig on the 28th.
