Baseball Recap: Seton Hall Prep Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Seton Hall Prep waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Livingston Lancers. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Aiden Nugent, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Burwell, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Seton Hall Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.

Seton Hall Prep's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Livingston, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Seton Hall Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against Livingston: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
