Volleyball Game Preview: East Central Hornets vs. Steele Knights

East Central hasn't had much luck against Steele recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hornets will look to defend their home court against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, East Central turned things around against Judson on Friday. They came out on top against the Rockets by a score of 3-1.

East Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-15, 27-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Steele got the win against Clemens on Friday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Steele won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-22.

Steele's win came from a few key players East Central will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Avery Nelson, who had 18 assists and three digs.

Steele's win bumped their record up to 24-16. As for East Central, their victory bumped their record up to 20-11.
