Wolcott RVT faced Pomperaug in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Panthers. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on six straight.

Wolcott RVT got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 31-29, 16-25, 25-21, 25-16.

Wolcott RVT's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Pomperaug, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
