Towns County falls despite strong effort from Kaleigh Beaver

Recap: Towns County Indians vs. Greene County Tigers

It was a good run, but the Towns County Indians unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greene County. Towns County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Greene County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Towns County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kaleigh Beaver. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Emma Lallement was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds.

Towns County's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Greene County, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Towns County will take on Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 453rd, while Towns County is ranked 147th). Greene County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Warren County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
