Soccer Recap: Maiden Takes a Loss

If Maiden was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Draughn on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Devils came up short against the Community School of Davidson Spartans on Wednesday, falling 9-0. Both teams had to tread carefully at times as the refs weren't afraid to hand out yellow cards: Isaiah Groves was handed one for Maiden, while Community School of Davidson got theirs courtesy of Conner Smith.

Maiden now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Community School of Davidson, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Maiden has already played their next match, a 10-1 loss against Bandys on the 2nd. As for Community School of Davidson, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 6-3 victory against Christ the King on the 3rd.
