Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hixson). They put the hurt on the East Ridge Pioneers with a sharp 25-4 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Hixson and bumps their season record up to 10-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for East Ridge, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Hixson will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pioneers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
