Recap: Edison Red Raiders vs. Booker T. Washington Tornadoes
This season hasn't been kind to the Edison Red Raiders, who are still winless after their ninth matchup. They were the victim of a tough 64-40 loss at the hands of Booker T. Washington on Thursday. Edison lost against Booker T. Washington in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 82-29 score last time.
Jahmal David was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points for Booker T. Washington. That makes it three consecutive games in which David has scored at least 25% of Booker T. Washington's points. Another player making a difference was Zephaniah Pratt , who scored nine points.
Edison's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.9 points per game. As for Booker T. Washington, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Edison will be playing in front of their home fans against MAST Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Booker T. Washington, they will head out on the road to face off against Miami at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
