Basketball Recap: Forge Christian Comes Up Short

If Forge Christian was feeling good fresh off their 67-27 takedown of Stargate School last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Forge Christian Fury took an 85-68 bruising from the Strasburg Indians on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (67), the Fury still had to take the loss.

Strasburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nick Glatfelter, who went 10-for-15 to rack up 25 points and six rebounds. Those 25 points gave Glatfelter a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyce Bollers, who went 6-for-8 en route to 19 points and three steals.

Forge Christian's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Strasburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Forge Christian and Strasburg should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. Forge Christian (ranked 31st) will meet Jefferson Academy (ranked 103rd) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Forge Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.3 points per game this season. Similarly, Strasburg will square off against Frontier Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 141 places (18 vs. 159).
