Softball Recap: Valley Vista Takes a Loss

Valley Vista fell victim to West Point and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 19-0 to the Dragons. The Monsoon haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Valley Vista saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Kennedy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. Kennedy has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.

Valley Vista's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for West Point, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-8.

Looking ahead, Valley Vista will host Skyline at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Coyotes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.14 runs per game on average), something the Monsoon will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Point, they will venture away from home to square off against Browne at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
