Volleyball Game Preview: Cedar Bluffs Wildcats vs. Buena Vista Bison

Cedar Bluffs is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Buena Vista a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Cedar Bluffs Wildcats will welcome the Buena Vista Bison at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Cedar Bluffs' tournament run continued when they took on Mercy on Saturday. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Monarchs.

Meanwhile, Buena Vista lost 3-0 to Omaha Northwest on Monday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-11, 25-18.

Cedar Bluffs will have to contain Lisette Esteban as she made an impact in Buena Vista's last game. She had 13 digs and five aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Galilea Galvan, who had ten digs and two assists.

Cedar Bluffs' loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Buena Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Cedar Bluffs beat Buena Vista 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Bison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
