Volleyball Recap: Eureka Falls Short Against Ranked Lindbergh

Eureka faced Lindbergh in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wildcats came up short against the Flyers, falling 3-0. The Wildcats have struggled against the Flyers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-21, 25-18.

Justin Klipsch paced Eureka's offense, picking up nine kills. Klipsch got some help from Jett Wilken and his 19 assists. Klipsch also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Sutton Reed, racking up two apiece.

Eureka's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Lindbergh, they pushed their record up to 23-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Eureka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Althoff Catholic on the 2nd. As for Lindbergh, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Parkway West on the 2nd.
