The Atkinson County Rebels waltzed into their match Monday with three straight wins but they left with four. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 63-34 victory over Jeff Davis. With that victory, Atkinson County brought their scoring average up to 50.7 points per game.
Atkinson County found their leader in underclassman Kamari Moore, who scored 21 points. The game was Moore's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Savanna Williams, who scored 12 points.
Atkinson County pushed their record up to 8-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Jeff Davis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Atkinson County will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Livonia at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. Jeff Davis won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Telfair County at 4:30 p.m. on December 19th. Telfair County comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
