Preview: Lafayette Central Catholic Knights vs. West Lafayette Red Devils

Lafayette Central Catholic scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 75-59 victory over Faith Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lafayette Central Catholic found their leader in underclassman Mikey Stapleton, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Ray Clayton, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Even though West Lafayette has not done well against Lafayette Jefferson recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. West Lafayette blew past Lafayette Jefferson 72-51. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory West Lafayette has managed all season.
Lafayette Central Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for West Lafayette, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
