Basketball Recap: Peabody-Burns Takes a Loss

Peabody-Burns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 67-33 loss at the hands of the Chase County Bulldogs. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Peabody-Burns saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jameson Miles dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. That was a full 60.6% of Peabody-Burns' points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Peabody-Burns' defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Chase County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peabody-Burns has already played their next contest (against Goessel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Chase County has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Eureka.
