After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Beachside, Wolfson was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Parker Braves 24-1. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wolfpack needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.
Madison Saling and Addison Booher were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Saling tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Booher tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits Saling has allowed since back in February of 2024. At bat, Saling scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Booher scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Wolfson got a massive performance out of Emerson Mercer, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs Mercer has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Wisniewski, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Wolfson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parker only posted an OBP of .250.
Wolfson now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Parker, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.
Coming up, Wolfson will head out on the road to take on Englewood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parker, they will host Andrew Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
