Basketball Recap: Forest Hills Beats Central Cambria for Their Sixth Straight Win

Forest Hills won the last time they faced Central Cambria, and Koy McGough did his part to make sure it happened again. The Forest Hills Rangers blew past the Central Cambria Red Devils 67-42 on Monday thanks in part to McGough, who went 7 of 13 from beyond the arc on his way to 31 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards. Those 31 points gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Dylan Stohon, who went 8 for 15 en route to 20 points. The match was his 17th in a row with at least ten points.

Despite the loss, Central Cambria saw an underclassman step up: freshman John Brouse posted 11 points. Gabe Burkett was another key player, putting up seven points.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Forest Hills, bringing their record for this year to 18-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Central Cambria, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-7.

Forest Hills will challenge Westmont Hilltop at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Cambria, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-42 win against Richland on the 5th.
