Floyd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dora Coyotes. One positive for the Broncos, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Floyd's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Parks, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Issak Bustamante, who had 13 points.

Floyd's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Dora, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Floyd and San Jon will face off at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Dora, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Corona at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
