Basketball Preview: The Ambrose School Archers vs. Compass Charter Aviators
The Ambrose School is 10-0 against the Aviators since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Ambrose School Archers will be playing at home against the Compass Charter Aviators at 7:30 p.m. The Ambrose School has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 413 points over their last six contests.
The Ambrose School can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They claimed a resounding 68-32 victory over North Star on the road. Given The Ambrose School's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Huskies are ranked 127th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Compass Charter's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 79-47 loss at the hands of Cole Valley Christian. Compass Charter has not had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Beau Bristol, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Skimmyhorn, who scored 12 points.
The Ambrose School is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Compass Charter, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for The Ambrose School against the Aviators when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 71-41 win. Does The Ambrose School have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Aviators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
