Mile High Academy waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Denver Waldorf Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Mile High Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Denver Waldorf scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 24-26, 25-18, 25-19.

Carissa Donovan paced Mile High Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Donovan got some help from Alaina Hickman and her 20 assists. Donovan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Mile High Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Denver Waldorf, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mile High Academy will challenge Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Denver Waldorf, they will take on Belleview Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
