Volleyball Recap: Cedar Ridge Comes Up Short

If Cedar Ridge was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of McNeil on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders lost 3-0 to the Round Rock Dragons on Tuesday. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Dragons from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-14, 25-15.

Leading Round Rock to victory were Aubrey Goode and Isa Cordaway-Dreier. Goode had 13 assists and three digs, while Cordaway-Dreier had 12 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Cordaway-Dreier has posted since back in August.

Cedar Ridge has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-14 record this season. As for Round Rock, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 29-8.

Coincidentally, Cedar Ridge and Round Rock will both be playing Stony Point the next time they take the court. The Dragons will host the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Raiders will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
