Basketball Recap: Navarre Takes a Loss

Navarre was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 59-48 to the Gulf Breeze Dolphins. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 553rd, while the Dolphins are ranked 68th).

Michael Bailey had an outrageously good game for Gulf Breeze as he made all 7 shots he took racking up 18 points. Bailey continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Roman Jackson was another key player, putting up 13 points and six boards.

Navarre's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Gulf Breeze, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2.

Navarre wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 80-64 defeat against Choctawhatchee on the 14th. Gulf Breeze has also already played their next game, a 39-35 loss against Crestview on the 14th.
