On Wednesday, San Clemente got the W thanks in part to Bob Erspamer playing the best baseball he has all season. Erspamer wasn't messing around, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. The pitching appearance was his sixth straight with two or fewer walks.

Erspamer's strong effort led San Clemente over Beckman and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
