 With a playoff game on the line, Waccamaw rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by  an  11-1 margin over the Battery Creek Dolphins. Considering Waccamaw has won seven matchups by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Evan Barnett tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run over five innings pitched.
 At the plate, Waccamaw got a  massive  performance out of  Nate Mabus, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, a  triple,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Ben Cohen, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
 The  victory  got Waccamaw back to even at 11-11. As for Battery Creek, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
 Waccamaw will take on Brookland-Cayce on Thursday. Waccamaw is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2  runs per game  this season. As for Battery Creek, they are on the road again  on Thursday to play Marlboro County. Marlboro County's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6  runs per game  this season, so Battery Creek's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
