Baseball Recap: Brazos Takes a Loss

Brazos and New Waverly squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Brazos had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Chase Kuhn was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Brazos has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-16 record this season. As for New Waverly, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

As of now, neither Brazos nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
