Softball Recap: Green Bay Preble Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Green Bay Preble got themselves on the board against Pulaski on Saturday, but Pulaski never followed suit. They blew past the Red Raiders 9-0. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now won nine in a row.

Katie Geydoshek was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Chloe Savage was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hannah VonHaden, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.

Green Bay Preble hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters every time they've taken the field this season.

Green Bay Preble pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Pulaski, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Green Bay Preble beat the Red Raiders by a score of 7-2 later that day.
