Basketball Recap: Central Academy Takes a Loss

Central Academy lost against Lenawee Christian back in March of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Central Academy Falcons lost 91-68 to the Lenawee Christian Cougars. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (63), the Falcons still had to take the loss.

Leading Lenawee Christian to victory were Seth Davis and Jaxon Salenbien. Davis dropped a double-double with 27 points and 13 boards, while Salenbien shot 69% from the field en route to 26 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Salenbien's big performance that evening made it 21 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Aidan Kaulins was another key player, almost dropping a triple-double with ten points, nine boards, and ten assists.

Central Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Lenawee Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Central Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lenawee Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 84-59 victory against Britton Deerfield on the 28th.
