Baseball Recap: Notasulga Comes Up Short

Booker T. Washington hit Notasulga with a four-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 5-4. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Eagles earlier this season, when they won 13-5.

Isaiah Hurt and Walter Tatum stepped up to the plate in a big way. Hurt went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Tatum went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Notasulga's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Booker T. Washington, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Notasulga will face off against Autauga Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Booker T. Washington, they will challenge Tallassee at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
