Football Recap: Jayden Jones and Jayden Pauling Lead the Defense for Silverado Win

After losing to Victor Valley the last time they met, Silverado decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hawks snuck past the Jackrabbits with a 28-24 victory on Thursday.

Aumaurieon Bailey produced another solid effort rushing for 130 yards and one touchdown. Jayden Pauling also helped with two scores in total.

Silverado didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayden Jones and Pauling. Pauling got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Silverado now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Victor Valley, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Looking ahead, Silverado will welcome Granite Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Victor Valley, they will square off against Layton Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jackrabbits will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
