Basketball Recap: Phil Fitzsimmons' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Crosspointe Christian Academy over First Baptist Christian

Crosspointe Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the First Baptist Christian Knights. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2014.

Crosspointe Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Phil Fitzsimmons, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 15 boards. He has become a key player for Crosspointe Christian Academy: the team is 6-3 when he posts at least eight rebounds, but 4-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Coltenn Wagner, who posted 19 points along with seven boards and five steals.
