Baseball Game Preview: Russellville Indians vs. Montgomery County Wildcats

The Russellville Indians will head out on the road to challenge the Montgomery County Wildcats at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Russellville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

While Russellville didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against New Franklin by a score of 5-1 on Wednesday. Five seems to be a good number for the Indians as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Montgomery County unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clopton.

Montgomery County's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Russellville, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.

Russellville couldn't quite get it done against Montgomery County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
