Scarsdale took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Mahopac, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Raiders had just enough and edged out the Wolf Pac 15-14. The victory was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Scarsdale got a massive performance out of S. Zwaig, who got on base in three of her six plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. J. Kefer was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Scarsdale's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Mahopac, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scarsdale will head out to take on Mamaroneck at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mahopac, they will challenge Carmel at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
