Basketball Recap: Berea Comes Up Short

Berea lost against Estill County back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Berea Pirates lost 51-26 to the Estill County Engineers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pirates have suffered against the Engineers since January 29, 2018.

Berea has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Estill County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-14 record this season.

Looking ahead, Berea will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bluegrass United at 7:30 p.m. As for Estill County, they have already played their next game, a 57-55 victory against Owsley County on the 15th.
