Baseball Game Preview: Kenston Bombers vs. Riverside Beavers

The Kenston Bombers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Riverside Beavers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Kenston comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Saturday, Kenston came up short against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin and fell 7-4.

Joey Artale was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Riverside didn't have quite enough to beat North Royalton on Saturday and fell 3-2. The Beavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riverside saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Wittreich, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Kenston, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Kenston beat Riverside 5-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Bombers repeat their success, or do the Beavers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
