Softball Recap: Calvary Christian Picks Up 12th Consecutive Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Calvary Christian had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers 6-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won 12 matchups in a row.

Morgen Talley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Morgan Spinner was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Bell, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Calvary Christian's win bumped their record up to 30-1. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they moved to 25-4 with that defeat, which also ended their 15-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Calvary Christian nor the Buccaneers have any future games scheduled.
