Basketball Recap: Newton Takes a Loss

Newton was the 43-37 winner over Pella Christian when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Newton Cardinals took a 36-21 bruising from the Pella Christian Eagles on Tuesday. The Cardinals just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Newton now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Pella Christian, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 7-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newton will face off against Oskaloosa at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pella Christian, they will challenge Pella at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
