Softball Recap: Oroville Comes Up Short

Oroville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-2 to the Hamilton Braves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 last Tuesday.

Jenessa Igot made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those RBI were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Gianna Brown, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Oroville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Hamilton, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Oroville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Woodland on the 22nd. As for Hamilton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-1 defeat against Lassen on the 22nd.
