Basketball Recap: Estancia Takes a Loss

Estancia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 64-21 loss at the hands of the Santiago Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1177th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 566th).

Estancia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Santiago, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Estancia will finish 2024 at home by hosting Bolsa Grande at 7:30 p.m. on December 26th. Santiago will take on Calvary Chapel in a holiday battle at at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
