Basketball Recap: Jace Cunningham's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lakeside over Lincoln

Lakeside lost against Lincoln back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lakeside Knights took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Leopards.

Lakeside lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jace Cunningham, who went 6 of 13 en route to 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Remus, who posted eight points and eight boards.

Lakeside's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Lincoln, their record now sits at 10-2.

Lakeside has already played their next matchup (against Osborne), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lincoln will look to defend their home court on Friday against Natoma at 7:00 p.m.
