Meanwhile, Downey's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past El Dorado 1-0. That's two games straight that Downey have won by just one goal.

Downey's win bumped their record up to 15-4-6. As for Newport Harbor, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3-2.
