Softball Recap: Grand County Takes a Loss

The matchup between Grand County and Duchesne on Friday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. Grand County came up short against Duchesne, falling 18-8. The Red Devils' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Grand County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hope Shumway, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was Shumway's first of the season.

Grand County's record is now 7-4. As for Duchesne, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Duchesne beat Grand County by a score of 16-4 later that day.
