Football Recap: Sandhills/Thedford's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sandhills/Thedford won the last time they faced Brady and Maurice Robinson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Knights blew past the Eagles 45-20 on Thursday thanks in part to Robinson, who rushed for 274 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 51 yards.

Carter Anderson was another key player, gaining 97 total yards and a touchdown. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles and defending one pass.

Sandhills/Thedford didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Thatcher Teahon, Ethan Rabou, and Mason Sutton picked up one apiece. Rabou has been hot for a while, having also posted six or more total tackles the last 14 times he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win was the third in a row for Sandhills/Thedford, bringing their record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points over those games. As for Brady, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Sandhills/Thedford will take on Mullen at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Broncos have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Brady, they will challenge Hyannis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
